Mark Stanley Wierzbicki, age 48, of Stratford, passed away in Bridgeport Hospital on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013.
Mark was born in Bridgeport to the late Stanley and Anna (Orczyk) Wierzbicki and has been a lifelong resident of Stratford. He was Valedictorian of the class of 1982 at Stratford High School, and earned a BS and Masters Degree at Fairfield University, and an MBA from University of New Haven.
Mark was employed at Sikorsky Aircraft as Senior Contracts Manager, specializing in Military Customer Support. He was married for 19 years to the late Lisa D’Aiuto Wierzbicki.
Survivors include his beloved son Joseph, a brother Waldemar Z. Wierzbicki and his lifelong companion Christine Borowy and his children Timothy, Tanya, and Israel Wierzbicki, his sister Teresa Roehrich and her husband Carl and their children Carl II, Carla, Victoria, and Robert Roehrich, his in-laws Vito and Nancy D’Aiuto, his brother in law Vito D’Aiuto III, his two aunts in England, along with numerous cousins in England and Poland.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 9:45 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford and at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
