Obituary: Kenneth Peschell, US Army Vet, 79

Funeral services will take place on Monday, Feb. 18 at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home.

Kenneth E. Peschell, age 79, of Stratford, beloved husband of Josephine Cervone Peschell, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Ken, a Sergeant in the U.S Army serving in the Korean War was born in Bridgeport on April 20, 1933 to the late Gustave A. and Johanna (Stremple) Peschell, and was a graduate of Stratford High School Class of 1952.

He was the co-owner of Lodus Automotive Service in Devon. Ken enjoyed many trips with his wife, family and friends, and trips to the casinos. In addition to his beloved wife, survivors include his son Kenneth (April) of NC, grandsons Kameron, Justin (Roseanne), and Chance (Charity), and two great-grandsons Sam and Zaeden, and a brother Gustave W. Peschell.

In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by a sister Margaret Floberg.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, Feb. 18 at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 10 a.m. in St. Mark’s Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial.

Interment in St. John’s Cemetery will be private. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make a donation in Ken’s memory to St. Mark Church 500 Wigwam Lane Stratford, Conn. 06614 or to a charity of choice.
