Obituary: Dean G. Burnhauser, 49

Dean G. Burnhauser, age 49, of Stratford, beloved husband of Elizabeth Conley Burnhauser, passed away on Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 in St. Vincent’s MC, Bridgeport.

Dean, a respiratory therapist for St. Vincent’s Medical Center, was born in Palmerton, Penn., to Dale Burnhauser of Penn., and the late Barbara Ann (Frye) Burnhauser.

Dean was a graduate of Jim Thorpe High School and Norwalk Community College. He enjoyed competitive riffle shooting, four-wheeling in his Jeep, camping, and playing softball and volleyball.

Dean was a member of the Western Pocono’s Sportsman Association. Prior to becoming a respiratory therapist, Dean worked as a heavy equipment operator.

Survivors in addition to his wife and father, include his beloved daughter Nicole, brother Wayne Burnhauser, mother-in-law Janice Conley, brother-in-law Steve Conley, sisters-in-law Heather Conley, and Shari Conley-Barrett and her husband Peter, a nephew Dillon Burnhauser, and a niece Laura Barrett.

Friends may greet his family on Monday, Jan. 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. All other services and interment will be private.
