Obituary: Catherine R. Rodia Loux, 66

Catherine R. Rodia Loux age 66 of Stratford the beloved wife of the late Peter Loux passed away peacefully on Nov. 19, 2013 in the Masonicare at Newtown with her loving family by her side.

Catherine was born on Nov. 17, 1947 in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late Angelo and Lucretia Viggiano Rodia.

She was employed by Dr. Riccio as an LPN for 10 years after graduating from St. Vincent’s Nursing School. Catherine also worked at Med-Now in Stratford for 14 years, the Stratford EMS for 25 years, was an EMS instructor, received her MRT degree and also owned a trucking company with her husband Peter for many years.

Catherine is survived by two sons, Darren Loux of Monroe and Brandon Loux of Colebrook, N.H., two grandsons, Sagen and Austin, one nephew Kent Loux and one niece Missy Loux.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main St., Stratford officiated by Rev. Edward Rawls Pastor of the First Congregational Church of Stratford.

Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may contribute in Catherine’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
