Government Shutdown

As I watched a number of news shows today, Oct.14, 2013, all of them having to do with the “government shut down”, I found out more about the Congressional “sit down strike”, which is being called a “government shut down”. This is not a sit down strike, or a union strike, or a government shutdown, this is a “wild cat strike”, staged by the Republicans, which in effect is illegal (Google # Taft Hartley Law). Are our honorable senators  and congressmen (congresswomen), taking a pay cut for failing to perform the duties we hired them to do,  or can they ALL, I believe , be arrested and impeached, or voted out of office in Nov. 2014. I said ALL. The only way to make our representatives in Congress do what’s best for the American people, is for them, our chosen representatives, to put term limits on ALL levels of government, local, state wide, and national, FAT CHANCE THAT WILL EVER HAPPEN. The majority of the members of Congress have become millionaires since they came to Washington , but it takes more than 2 terms to develop the “juice” and influence needed to reach that point financially. That’s why seniority is so important

The second thing I witnessed was a demonstration at the WW II War Memorial, which like ALL federal y funded facilities, was closed and LOCKED UP. Somehow, when a large group of veterans, I believe were Vietnam Vets because they looked my age (70’s), led by Sarah “ I can see Russia from my porch” Palin, and Ted , “I wasn’t born in America” Cruz, I thought that should be it. Manufactured photo ops, a lot of flag waving. Sarah getting off by being old news. The silliest example of government at its most ridicules, was the closing of Mount Rushmore, which can be seen from miles and miles away. Did they cover the mountain face with Charmin or Glad Bags? But then I came to the most despicable, PR, PHOTO-OP, since, Willie Horton.

A number of people from that demonstration, picking up people along the way, picked up sections of metal fencing that had been removed from the Memorial, and “marched” on the White House. They gathered in large groups, placed the fencing against the White House fence and waved the flag of the United States Marine Corps and, the Confederate “Stars and Bars”, which was the flag of the Confederate States of America who had lost the Civil War. They gathered at the front of the White House, demonstrating ( in a very threatening way to the President, and the First Family.) The security I saw were “rent-a-cops”, supplemented by D.C.PD., and a lot of people “disturbing the peace” of the First Family. WHAT THE F-K. Where the F—K are the Secret Service. This is our President and his Family. The marksman on the roof should have fired of a few rounds at the grounds in front of these assholes.

Last but not least, I heard a man named Larry Klaman, speaking in front of the WW II Memorial, which was opened because of pressure by the “Greatest Generation” “, disrespect our President, who was elected twice, and  is still not only the Commander In Chief now, but comes from a group of “chosen few” who have been our Presidents for two terms. But, Klaman says that, “ he prays before Allah, on his knees”, and that he “ bows down to the East”, which is the Muslim sign of faith to the God  he prays to, Allah. Last I heard, Freedom of Religion is one of our most cherished guaranties under the Constitution, ALL RELIGIONS. He also said of our President should, “come out of the White House with his hands held over his head”,  which is the military form of surrender,  and  give the White House to who, Mitt Romney?  This is not only Larry Klaman, but the ghost of Larry Ku Klux Klansmen. Sedition is defined, in Webster’s as, “a stirring up of revolution against government”. If his tirade against our President isn’t sedition, then I don’t know what is. This Tea Party Wing-nut case should be arrested by the FBI and charged with sedition. This constant rabblerousing against the choice of the majority of Americans for this President must end or we will all be sorry. All of us, every living American of all colors, nationalities, religions, faiths, and attitudes, should start looking for the peace that we have been looking for since JFK’s assassination. I hope we all find it before God and Mother Nature kicks all our asses. God Bless America and God Bless President Barak Obama and his family and keep them safe.    M.H. Griffin (Citizen)
