The disaster at the train station part 7

This E-Mail was sent to the office of the mayor and to the governor's office on June 30.
This problem is regarding the redevelopment of the Stratford railroad station parking lot on Main Street in Stratford.
The Camelot Apartments at 2580 Main Street are directly adjacent to the construction site.
For the last three weeks the residents of the apartments facing the work site, including myself, have been subject to extensive noise pollution, air pollution and flying dirt entering through our open windows.
Trees which had acted as a noise buffer between the complex and the train tracks and Interstate 95 have been removed increasing the noise level from the passing trains and the traffic to a level which is at least twice as high as it was before the trees were removed.
Construction equipment has piled over a dozen two story high sand piles and the workings of the crews have added to the ever increasing noise and pollution levels the resident must live with.
This is a quality of life issue, involving noise pollution, air pollution and the ability to sleep and clean the apartments in a normal manner.
Many of the residents are elderly and are on a fixed income, have medical conditions and can not afford to pay the electric bill to run their air conditions 24/7.
The state O.S.H.A. and the state D.E.E.P. needs to check the piles of dirt for any pollution and the working on the construction site.
I believe the state should provide a financial consideration to the residents who apparently will be forced to live with this project for the next several months. Apparently the project is already one month behind the projected finish date.
1. A financial agreement between the residents and the state should be concluded in the immediate future.
2. If no agreement is reached the media will be contacted and there will be a press conference.
3. As a last resort, lawyers will become involved.
