Sinatra is alive and well at Station House Wine Bar and Grill

Frank Sinatra, A.K.A. "Old Blue Eyes" in the person of Don Peluso, is alive and well and singing many of the songs that made Sinatra the famous or infamous person that he has become.
I stopped in at Station House several Saturdays ago after getting off of the train from the city and was advised "Sinatra" was in residence.
It was interesting to hear the sounds of "New York, New York" coming from inside the establishment.
Peluso, short, of an Italian heritage, and wearing a white dress jacket was doing one of the better vocals of Sinatra to a crowd that was for some part made up of a followings of friends and relatives who had come into the restaurant to hear him sing.
Sinatra and his music is also alive and well in many of the restaurants and clubs on the upper West Side of the city.
Of course in New Jersey he is some where between sainthood and the love of the residents for the present governor of New  Jersey.
Peluso along with his"friends" from the old rat pack, Sammy and Dino was doing his best to blend all of the three voices along with comments from "Sammy and Dino" that would have made the pair proud.
Peluso starts between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. and ends around 10 p.m. on Saturday nights depending on the size and motivation of the crowd.
It was interesting to watch the facial expressions of the younger people who are use to a different type of vocal sounds.
Peluso is not a stand up singer, but tends to walk among the patrons while urging them to join him.
Its difficult to say "no" when he puts a mike in your face and you actually know the words to the song he is presenting.
At a guess, Peluso is from the Bridgeport area, since some of the people in the crowd where some of the movers and shakers from the "old Bridgeport" where the late and great, Supt of Police Joe Walsh ruled the city with more power then the turnstile of mayors who came and went.
Joe usually ran the city from Arthur's RoundTable" and several other establishments in the Park City that have gone the way of the old ferryboat restaurant.
Peluso is from the old school of singing so that you can understand the words as they come out of him mouth.
It was an interesting evening and brought back memories of several places that had the same type of music.
If you are in the area it is well worth the trip to stop in and spend an evening with "Sinatra"
Before the comments start to fly as they always do in this town.
I do not work for Anthony Fidaleo, the chief "Capo" and owner of the establish.
The Station House is a restaurant that you could drop anywhere on the upper West Side of New York and it would fit right in.
It just happens to be the type of restaurant I enjoy with prices I can live with.
Probably the only one in Stratford that fits that bill.
Only in Stratford kiddies, only in Stratford.
