A shot across the bow of the National Helicopter Museum

This is a shot across the bow of the National Helicopter Museum as to why it should be moved to the Booth Memorial Park where it belongs.
The National Helicopter Museum (NHM) located on the east bound side of the Metro North tracks needs to be moved to a different location to open the building up to development.
After a year, I decided to take the bull by the horns, so to speak, and try and get some answers out of town hall regarding NHM.
On April 21 I sent an E-Mail to the office of Mayor John Harkins regarding the issue of NHM.
This is a copy of the E-Mail that was sent to Harkin's office, just in case the computers at town hall "lost" the E-Mail.
Under the Freedom of Information Act, I am requesting the following information from town officials and departments.
1. Date of construction of the building that now houses the NHM.
2.The names of all persons, businesses , corporations, not for profit, public and private agencies that have rented, leased, purchased, or were given free of charge by the town use of the building now occupied by NHM from date of construction to the present.
3. The amount of fees, rent, lease agreements, charges, paid by persons, businesses, corporations, not for profit, public or private agencies for use of the building now occupied by NHM.
4. The date the persons, committees, not for profit, or others on behalf of the NHM took control of the property.
5.The amount of fees, rent, utilities, and any other fees paid by the NHM to the town from date occupied to the present.
6.The names of all persons, committees, involved in the function of the NHM.
7. The names of town officials, employees, other government officials, and citizens who have contributed in excess of $100.00 to the NHM in cash, checks, or services.
It strikes me as strange that every time I bring up the subject of moving the NHM to a different location I get the look from people around town of "I don't want to talk about it, or I can not talk about it."
I  believe somewhere in the deep dark past some deal was allegedly done by the original owners, allegedly the New Haven Railroad regarding the building.
Point in fact, the NHM is a collection of plastic models, mockups, and assorted junk that went out of use years ago.
Student can get much more information by going on the internet and down loading all they need to know about helicopters.
Allegedly there are powers to be in Hartford that know "where the bodies are buried" regarding why the NHM can not or will not be moved out of it's present location.
Allegedly deals may have been made between the town, (Not Harkins) well before his time and state officials.
It seem that every time the idea of moving the NHM comes up a certain female senator swoops in on her broom stick and holds a press conference on how great the NHM is to the community.
Makes me wonder what deals were done.
On your next visit to town madam senator, please contact the following: airtraffic control for New York at 124.075 Mhz and the towers at Sikorsky Memorial Airport, 120.900 Mhz and Sikorsky Heliport at 133.600 Mhz. so that they can clear you for a proper landing.
There is also allegedly a cabal of persons with businesses interests in this town that apparently want the NHM to stay where it is because that can not control the new business people in town.
To me it would be a good idea to put the question of moving the NHM to Booth Park on the ballot for the up coming election.
The citizen can then have some input into what really goes on with the NHM.
Several business owners have asked me why the NHM remains in its present location when so much more could be done with the property to improve the downtown and make the trip for homecoming commuters less stressful.
Rest rooms, flower shop, pizza restaurant, cleaners, a small wine and beer shop have all been suggested by certain business people who are not afraid to mix it up with the town cabal.
In note, a copy of the E-Mail also went out to my friends in the media to seek their input into the issue.
November is fast approaching and all of the candidates should be ready to stand up and defend their position on the movement or lack of movement of the NHM.
