The Great Pumpkin Festival and Pie Baking Contest

The Annual Great Pumpkin Festival and Pie Baking Contest is Saturday, October 19th, featuring the Great Pumpkin Carving contest!
Hosted by the Boothe Park Commission and the Town of Stratford.

The festival will be held from 1:00 - 5:00 pm and is a wonderful family-oriented event.  Watch as carvers sculpt pumpkins into works of art for cash prizes.  Find out who makes the best Apple or Pumpkin Pie in Stratford.  The Festival will have a children's costume parade (3:00 sharp) with prizes, DJ music, games, crafts, face painting, refreshments, balloon sculpturing, 3 Moon bounces, horse-drawn hayrides, Roving Railroad, and showcase the various historic buildings at the park, including tours of the Model Train Museum and Observatory. Bunnell High School STAGE theater group will perform skits.

Enjoy food and pasties as you stroll the beautiful grounds of the park.

When: Saturday October 19th

Rules:   (1) Pies must be Apple or Pumpkin only. You may submit one of each.  (2) Pie must be entered in the name of the person who made the pie. (3)  Pie must be in disposable tin.  (4)  Pies will be judged on overall appearance, crust, filling, taste, and originality.   (5) Entries must be sent to: sphilips@townofstratford.com” no later than October 19th. Please include name, address, phone, age and type of pie to be entered.

Pies are to be delivered to Boothe Memorial Park by 11:30am on Oct. 19th.
