Take Your Child to the Library Day

Stratford Library will be celebrating national ‘Take Your Child to the Library Day’ on Saturday, February 1 which encourages families to visit their local library and discover its resources.

Special events will take place throughout the day. Stop by any time for ‘Max & Ruby Day!” Celebrate author Rosemary Wells’ bunny characters Max and Ruby with crafts, stories, and games. At 10:30 a.m. children can bring a t-shirt to decorate “Max’s Dragon Shirt.” From 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. children can visit Ruby’s “Beauty Shop” to have their nails done. There will be storytimes at 2 and 4 p.m. At 2:30 p.m. singer Roger Tincknell will present festive songs and dance for children. Participate in the Library’s ‘Reading Challenge.’ Stop by the Library to read with your children for 15 minutes and receive a goody bag.

Singer Roger Tincknell will perform at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 1 as part of the Stratford Library’s activities for national “Take Your Child to the Library Day.”
