Hospice Volunteer Training
Become a Hospice Volunteer! Orientation set for Friday September 26th in Stratford.
VITAS Innovative Hospice Care is seeking hospice volunteers to provide comfort, compassion and emotional support to hospice patients across Fairfield County. Volunteers are an integral part of the hospice philosophy and can enhance a patients life at a difficult time. Volunteers provide respite to caregivers or family members, provide emotional support, activity if able and a friendly visit with a hospice patient or their family.
Training is free and provided by VITAS. All volunteers must have an interview, fill out required paperwork and have a background check and reference check.
