For Bridgeport Entrepreneurs: Small Business Finance and Quickbooks workshops

For area entrepreneurs who want to strengthen their small business skills and maximize profits, the non-profit Community Economic Development Fund (CEDF) is holding workshops in business finance and Quickbooks Pro 2014 at Career Resources in Bridgeport. The two-part Business Finance workshop on March 3rd and 4th will teach small business owners how they can maximize profits by understanding financial statements, making income projections, and setting up accounting systems that best suit their small businesses. The two-day workshop is $30.

A week later CEDF’s Quickbooks Pro 2014 workshop starts, a four-session series beginning on March 10th with subsequent sessions on the 11th, 18th, and 24th.  These hands-on workshops show small business owners how to get the most out of Quickbooks Pro 2014 software, acclaimed for simplifying complex accounting tasks like billing, payroll management and reporting.  Each small business owner participant receives their own Quickbooks Pro 2014 package to keep ($249.00 value).

Quickbooks Pro 2014 classes run from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m., and cost $260.00.  Note that the Business Finance workshop, held March 3 -4, is a prerequisite for the Quickbooks classes. Small business owners who enroll in both courses save $50.

The private, non-profit Community Economic Development Fund helps Connecticut small businesses start and grow by combining flexible financing with businesses skills and advice for the life of the small business loan. For more information and registration visit www.cedf.com or call 1-888-835-2333.
