Don’t wait ‘til it’s too late to fight the flu! Every Thursday starting October 25, 2012 while supply lasts, the Stratford Health Department will host weekly flu clinics for all residents aged 6 months and older.  The pneumonia vaccine will be available for residents aged 65 and older.  The clinic will take place at the Stratford Health Department, 468 Birdseye Street in Stratford, CT from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the nursing division.  All residents are encouraged to get the vaccine.  No appointment is necessary.  Medicare Part B, Anthem BC/BS, and Connecticare will be accepted insurance with a $0 fee.  All others will be charged $25.00 for the influenza vaccine, payable by cash or check.

Getting a flu shot is a safe way to prevent possible flu-related complications.  Visit the health department on Thursdays for your flu shot! For more information, contact Bernice Bova, RN at the Stratford Health Department: (203) 385-4058 or e-mail bbova@townofstratford.com.
