With the holidays quickly approaching are you looking for an excuse to shop ‘til you drop? The Junior League of Stamford-Norwalk (JLSN) will host its annual fall tag sale that offers Fairfield County families fantastic deals on everything from gift items to home furnishings.

Each year, JLSN presents a fall tag sale to provide training for new members while also fundraising for community projects. The seventh annual Fall Tag Sale will offer affordable shopping with a variety of high quality clothing, accessories, books, toys, sporting goods, small electronics and much more.

This year’s tag sale will take place on Sunday, November 4th from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM at the JLSN headquarters (748 Post Road, Darien, CT).  There will be an opportunity for early bird shopping beginning at 9:00AM, for an entrance fee of $10.00. More information can be found at www.jlsn.org

A well-known community event, the JLSN tag sales attract many eager shoppers every year. All proceeds from the tag sale allow JLSN to continue their support of community programs throughout the year. The Diaper Co-Op, founded in 2008 by JLSN, benefits from tag sale proceeds and provides monthly supplies of new diapers and baby wipes for impoverished families in Fairfield County. Without the assistance of the Diaper Co-Op, many of these 90+ families are unable to afford an adequate supply of diapers for their children. To date, JLSN has distributed over 380,000 diapers within the region. Another community project that benefits from JLSN tag sales is The Building Healthy Families program, an event-based initiative that strives to educate and provide community resources on the topics of childhood obesity, nutrition and fitness. These programs along with each JLSN project aims to build awareness while making a positive impact on issues facing the Fairfield community.
