Mayoral Debate Tonight in Stratford

Candidates for First District Town Council have also been invited to attend.

Candidates for Stratford mayor and Stratford First District Town Council will field questions from residents Wednesday night at a candidates forum at St. Joseph's Church of Stratford, 1300 Stratford Road.

The debate, scheduled to start at 7 p.m., is sponsored by Protect Your Environment of Stratford.

The candidates for mayor are incumbent Republican John A. Harkins, Democrat Joe Paul and petitioning candidates Ken Bruno and George Mulligan.

Mulligan won't be in attendance, however, as he is being hospitalized at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, the Connecticut Post reported today.

Candidates for First District Town Council are Republican Peter Massey and Democrat Mary Young.
