Trumbull Preschool Teacher, Stratford Woman, Granted Probation in Abuse Case

Jean Marie Pulaski is accused of pushing a child's head onto a desk in April.

The abuse charge against a teacher at the Trumbull Early Childhood Education Center (TECEC) will be dropped if she completes a special form of probation.

Schools Supt. Ralph Iassogna was not immediately available for comment.

According to the Connecticut Post, Jean Marie Pulaski, of Stratford, was granted Accelerated Rehabilitation on a charge of breach of the peace. The charge will be dropped if she meets conditions set by a judge. AR is meant for first-time offenders.

She allegedly pushed a child's head down on her desk in April, and was later suspended. The girl's mother said the girl suffered a small bruise.

The girl's mother has filed a notice of intent to sue the town.

Pulaski's next court date is June 27, 2013 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
