Two Roads Brewing Company

(Posted Nov. 8) We were so lucky to have Stratford Mayor John Harkins and Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy stop by for a ribbon cutting ceremony here at the brewery last month. They were the first people to get a taste of Two Roads' beer! Thanks to Karen Kaiser for making the Two Roads partners look photogenic.

Stratford Dog Park

(Aug. 30) Has everyone "liked" the Stratford Animal Rescue Society page? They are frequently posting wonderful family dogs they have for adoption. Please like their page and support our shelter. They could use food donations as well as blankets and towels for the kennel this cold winter.

McCoy's Pub

(Nov. 7) Irish Historical Trivia "Handfasting" is an ancient Celtic custom once practiced in Ireland and Scotland where a bride and groom would bind their hands (or wrists) together with cord or ribbon throughout the wedding ceremony.

Stratford Fire Department

(Nov. 5) Stratford Fire Marine Rescue 1 was also dispatched to the call and located body. Once they were able to secure the body they assisted the Stratford PD with loading the stokes basket onto Stratford PD Marine 1. Excellent cooperative effort by both agencies to once again mitigate an incident.

(Nov. 6) Please remember to get out and vote today. Many people have died to guarantee us this right.

We'll be joined by Senator Richard Blumenthal, Connecticut Sea Grant, The Nature Conservancy, The Connecticut Audubon Society, and Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP).
