Stratford Could See 3-5 Inches of Snow

Also, winds are forecast to gust up to 55 mph.

Stratford could see snow accumulations tonight into tomorrow of three to five inches.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the area until 6 a.m. Thursday.

In addition to the snow, winds will blow 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

"The heaviest snow will occur through this evening," meteorologists reported in their latest forecast at 6:24 p.m. Wednesday.

Visibilities will range from one-quarter to one-half mile at times.

"A combination of snow, gusty winds, and temperatures around freezing was making travel hazardous," reported the meteorologists. "The combination of wind and snow will bring down trees and power lines resulting in power outages."
