Rivetborne Aeronautics Provides Military Flight Thrills at Sikorsky Airport
The new flight service company at Sikorsky Airport offers aerobatic rides in an M-26 trainer aircraft.
Sikorsky Memorial Airport in has hosted its share of air shows, which give visitors , and now, a new flight service at Sikorsky offers civilians a chance to experience flying a real military plane.
According to an article by Connecticut Post reporter Brittany Lyte, Rivetborne Aeronautics allows customers to suit up and ride in the cockpit of an agile M-26 Air Wolf, a small, prop-driven version of an Air Force trainer aircraft.
The new flight service company is owned by Cemocan Yesil, a former engineer at Sikorsky Aircraft. A half-day military flight experience costs $480, and a whole-day costs $910.
