Overnight Snow, Sleet to Accumulate in Stratford

Storm could complicate Tuesday morning commute.

A mix of rain, snow, freezing rain and sleet is forecast to trouble Stratford tonight and could make for tricky travel tomorrow.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the area and is forecasting 1 to 3 inches of overnight snow and sleet accumulation for Stratford.

Today: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 36. East wind 10 to 14 mph.

Tonight: Rain, snow, freezing rain, and sleet before 3 a.m., then freezing rain and sleet between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m., then rain, freezing rain, and sleet after 4 a.m. Low around 32. Breezy, with a east wind 18 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Tuesday: Rain, mainly before 4 p.m. High near 44. East wind 13 to 18 mph becoming north 6 to 11 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
