A small Yorkshire terrier who went missing in Stratford on Oct. 10 was hit by a car in Bridgeport and did not survive.

Updated Thursday, Oct. 18

Unfortunately, the search for a Stratford family's missing Yorkshire terrier "Noah" has a sad ending.

About a week after Noah went missing on Oct. 10, he was struck and killed by a motorist in Bridgeport, according to a post on the Stratford Dog Park's Facebook page.

"Sad news to report tonight," the Wednesday night post read. "Noah was hit by a car in Bridgeport and didn't survive. Thank you for helping us try to find him. The family really appreciates your support."

The creators of the Facebook page say they are neighbors with Noah's owners. If you would like to leave a message for the owners, please do so below or on the dog park's Facebook page.

A Yorkshire terrier went missing Wednesday morning in the area of Nichols Elementary School, according to a post on the Stratford Dog Park's Facebook page.

"Hi Everyone, we need your help," the post reads. "A cute little yorkie has gone missing near Nichols elementary school this morning. He is about 7lbs, very long and very lean. He looks sort of like a Silkie. He answers to Noah hand has tags and a microchip. Please don't chase him just message on here. Thank you."

An image of what Noah looks like, according to the Facebook post, has been included with this article.

If you have information about Noah's whereabouts, please leave a message here or on the Stratford Dog Park's Facebook page.
