Hazardous Waste Disclosure Law Heads for Governor's Desk

The state Senate passed the bill, which requires sellers to disclose pending legal actions involving health hazards.

A bill requiring sellers to on their property passed the state Senate this week and is headed for the governor's office for his signature.

The Connecticut Post reported that the bill would affect more than 100 homes in that are included in the federal Superfund project involving Raymark asbestos contamination.

The current state disclosure forms for real estate transactions do not require sellers to tell buyers if there are hazardous chemicals on the property.
