Stratford resident Sean Haubert says there's a shared frustration among locals about the goings-on at the Stratford Metro-North station.
"A growing number of commuters have been grumbling on the westbound platform in the morning," Haubert said in an email to Stratford Patch. "I had the idea that we need to have a way to share these complaints with each other."
So Haubert created the Facebook group "Stratford Commuters," which launched on the social utility last week.
"There is a lack of communication coming from Town Hall regarding the train station, its parking procedures and updates on the station being rebuilt," said Haubert, who hopes his group can grow into a valuable sounding board for Stratford commuters.
"Hopefully the page will catch on with other commuters, and our voices will be heard by Mayor Harkins and [the mayor's head of train parking] Mr. Williams," Haubert said.
