Cops: One Arrested Following Soccer Game Brawl in Stratford
Police respond to an indoor soccer facility after receiving a report of a fight involving up to 20 men.
Stratford police said a brawl involving up to 20 men broke out during an indoor soccer game Sunday afternoon, resulting in one arrest.
Capt. Joseph McNeil said by the time officers arrived at , 1330 Honeyspot Road Extension, the fracas was over.
It apparently hadn't gone on long. The owner of the indoor soccer facility, who called police at 3:30 p.m., said the brawl had ended before she could check on what had caused the commotion, police said.

Officers said it appeared the fight involved the members of two soccer teams, but no one at the scene would cooperate with police.
McNeil said several of the soccer players had bruises, including Freddy Rosales Ramirez, 37, of 875 Kossuth St., Bridgeport, who had cuts on his knuckles.

Ramirez was charged with creating a public disturbance.
