Body Pulled from Housatonic River in Stratford

The body was discovered around 4 p.m. Monday.

A man's body was pulled from the mouth of the Housatonic River Monday afternoon, police said.

Workers aboard a vessel currently dredging the waterway discovered the body around 4 p.m. today, Deputy Police Chief Joe McNeil said. He said the police department's marine unit then responded to the call.

McNeil said the body has yet to be identified and detectives are on scene now.
