We’re very excited about the success of our launch event/info session “New Year/New Business”.

With more than 100 people in attendance, the innovative energy was palpable in the newly opened CreateHereNow headquarters. City of Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch was onsite to help introduce the program as well as Michael Moore (Downtown Special Services District), and Ryan Odinak (Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County).

Presentations detailed how the CreateHereNow Program builds on the vigor of related creative placemaking initiatives such as City Canvases Bridgeport and Project Storefronts New Haven. Present and potential applicants also shared their questions and networked. Refreshments were provided by Green well Organic Tea & Coffee and business owners Matt and Sarah Greenwell were onsite to share about their entrepreneurial journey.
