What Should Take Oronoque Farm's Place in Stratford?

The bakery is gone and the space currently houses Republican candidate Wayne Winsley's campaign for Congress. But what would you like to see permanently move in to the space?

There is 860 square feet available for lease at Stratford Center.

Currently campaign headquarters for Wayne Winsley, the Republican Congressional candidate for the Third District, 2377 Main St. is the former home of Oronoque Farms.

How about a gym or a trader joes, or a lane bryant?

An organic juice/smoothie place would be fantastic! Fresh juices and smoothies, not the smoothie glop in a box.

It would be nice to have a coffee shop downtown. I miss Reality Café.

a pizza shop that does not cook the pizza. you order it they prepare it and you pick it up and bake it at home. nice and hot when you are ready to eat. i hate soggy pizza.

Here's a great idea! Let's move Karen Kaiser and the Economic Development office to Oronoque Farms they watched, without a single effort, go out of business.! That way they'll understand what Economic Development is -- they're not working at Town Hall, why not let them fill up space in the middle of Town? Better yet, they can continue to work with the Stratford Chamber of Commerce to construct those Beautification business sponsored signs around town that don't even meet Zoning Regulations!!! (and I bet there's a small office in the back where Harkins and his staff can hide out even better than where they're hiding out now).

Coffee shop is not a good idea since we already have Donut Inn and Starbucks. Another alcohol store is not what we need in Stratford, we already have too many bars and booze downtown. How about an EMPLOYMENT RECRUITER OFFICE? Job ready, CTjobs Political talking heads who promise so many jobs for CT would jump at an opportunity to help setup such a site for Stratford residents. Even a seasonal job center would be better than a coffee shop, gym, trader joes, liquor store or soggy pizza joints. We need more jobs not more trans fat eateries or socially accepted community killers like a liquor store. Whatever goes there, please keep in mind the amount of children walk by that location everyday. They are our future and exposing them to positive businesses should be a priority when making suggestions.

Brilliant! Or how about everyone elect Wayne Winsley and get rid of Red Rosa because she hasn't done much other than scare children for years. Wayne can then use that office as a visiting place where he can spend sometime every so often to listen to his constituents unlike Red Rosa who doesn't want to talk to anyone.. Ask yourself why she won't debate him.. what has she got to hide other than being out of touch.

How about a cupcake shop. Cupcakes are very popular now and a hot item.

I would love to see the Town Fair bakery return to some place in Stratford.

Something classy and artsy. Maybe a Hooters or an all male revue dance club. My daughter Bunny could use the work.

Serious question here... What is the regulation? Can you link to it? I am none to pleased with those signs, I thought the smaller versions were quite fine. I'm curious as to what the rule is. thx

I'd like to see a swimming pool service business. It might be a good place for my son Roy to work.

I like the idea of a Trader Joe's or Lane Bryant... even an Ann Taylor Loft or a leather shop (with boots, coats, belts, pocketbooks etc.).
