Stratford Welcomes New Wine Shop

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for a custom wine shop will be held Friday, Oct. 12.

Stratford's newest business is a custom wine shop called The Wine Maker's Boutique.

According to a press release from the Stratford Chamber of Commerce, the shop at 2505 Main St. (Station House Square Plaza) "will offer the service of making wine from kits available for sale at the store with the customer being able to make the wine and bottle it from start to finish."

The local chamber and Mayor John A. Harkins will welcome the wine shop to the Stratford business community with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday, Oct. 12, at 12 p.m.

"The Wine Boutique offers a wide variety of grape juice and juice concentrate from all over the world as well as wine and beer accessories for sale," the release stated.

The owner of the shop is William Alletzhauser, and the hours will be: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.
