A crew from the Food Network will be at the Windmill Tavern Thursday afternoon, according to this post on the restaurant's Facebook page:

"Don't forget to make your reservations for lunch on Thursday when a major TV station will be filming a segment on the Windmill. An operating bar on this corner since 1934, this show wants to spotlight how we brought the old girl back to life. They have heard nothing but compliments about our place and now they want to see for themselves. They will be talking with us owners, our staff and most important, our customers. The "WINDMILLERS". Its filling up fast so make a reservation, have some lunch, sit back and be a star on TV. The Windmill Tavern, serving people on this corner for 79 years."

A crew from the Food Network will visit the Windmill Tavern in Stratford for a filming this week.

According to a post on the Facebook page of the Hollister Street restaurant and bar, the filming will take place on either Wednesday or Thursday.

"They will be here between 12 and 2:30," the post reads. "Wanna be on TV, make your reservation now for both days. They will be filming and interviewing our staff along with our customers."

"Let's show them what the windmill and windmillers are all about," the post continues. "Mark your calendar, come on down and have lunch and be a star."

Why? Because you need an old Polish woman in the kitchen making potato pancakes, sauerbraten, dumplings and red cabbage plus someone on the grill that can make Shawn specials.

I have one of the old polish women here. She's my grandmother! She owned the windmill in the 70's. It was her recipies that you crave and I still get today at all our family gatherings. I'm so glad that my grandmother and windmill are still around and thriving!
