Help Your Neighbors in Need Stay Warm this Winter!

Bridgeport Rescue Mission is collecting coats, hats, gloves scarves and boots for the homeless and working poor in the lead up to Thanksgiving. Click here for details...

Bridgeport Rescue Mission urgently needs 15,000 coats to distribute to the homeless and working poor during our Thanksgiving Dinner Pantry Box and Coat Distribution Program the week leading up to Thanksgiving and throughout the winter months.  Here's how you can help ...

  • Hold a drive in your church, organization or school for new or gently used coats for men women and children of all ages and sizes.  Or simply collect those you no longer use from your own closets.  (Hats, gloves, scarves and boots are needed too.)
  • Deliver your winter-wear contributions to our Donation Center, 1069 Connecticut Ave, Unit 2-B , in Bridgeport. The donation center is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.  but we will accept coats any time.  It would be most helpful to receive coats by November 12th in order for us to prepare for our distribution activities.
  • If you need more information, contact Jennifer Christie-Jump at 203-333-4087, ext. 116.

Thank you for helping our neighbors in need stay warm this winter. Your kind generosity will warm their hearts, too!
