Stratford Animal Rescue Society Names 'Volunteer of the Year'

At a recent banquet, Volunteer Carrie Burr was presented with a plaque for her dedication.

Carrie Burr was recently honored by her fellow volunteers at the Stratford Animal Rescue Society as the "Volunteer of the Year."

The following was what her peers had to say about her, as posted in a release on the town's website:

"Carrie's love for animals shines through with the countless hours she spends at the every week. Carrie tirelessly walks, trains and socializes the homeless animals every day. She does not hesitate to step up to the plate to clean the facility, organize donations/supplies and work at all fundraising activities.

"Carrie makes a difference in the lives of Stratford's abandoned and neglected animals and is treasure to the community."
