Emergency crews are on the scene of a crash on I-95 southbound in Stratford where reports say at least 12 people were injured and some seriously.

The accident involved two passenger buses and happened near exit 31.

According to a reporter on scene, one bus appeared to have its front window smashed in by the rear of the other. At least one of the buses still has passengers inside.

The two left lanes are closed and the backup on I-95 southbound starts around exit 38. Increased traffic on local roads in Stratford is a possibility as motorists seek a detour.
