1. Animal Adoption Event

The Stratford Animal Rescue Society will be hosting a Pet Adoption & Brick Fundraiser Event. There will be all types of cats and dogs available for adoption.
Personalized bricks and benches will be available for purchase. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted and prices start at just $50.00 for a 4X8 brick.
All bricks and benches will be placed on the entrance walkway of the new Animal Control Facility on Beacon Point Road and the proceeds will benefit homeless animals. Also available for purchase - pet toys, treats, boutique items, funny pet car magnets and more!

The 20-year-old prize-winning violinist, RAY CHEN, will perform the next FREE Young Persons’ Concert in a program presented by Music for Youth and Pequot Library. In June 2009, Mr. Chen won the Grand Prize in Brussels at the Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition. It awarded him a purse of 20,000 euros, many concert engagements, a recording and a three-year loan of the “Huggins” Stradivarius. That same year he also won the Young Concert Artists Auditions, and in 2008, the Yehudi Menuhin Competition.
Ray Chen is among the most compelling young violinists today.
Free master classes will follow the recital.
