Get Your 'Blues on the Beach' This Weekend

The second annual free concert will start at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 30.

The second annual Blues on the Beach festival will be held on Saturday, July 30, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Short Beach Park.

The free concert is sponsored by the mayor's office and donations from area businesses and individuals.

“At a time when Stratford families have to cut back on leisure expenses, I am pleased that we are able to offer an afternoon of sun, sand and great music free of charge to residents,” said Mayor John A. Harkins.

Featured music acts include The What Up Funk Band, The Chris D'Amato Band, Pocket Full of Soul, Quincy Mumford, The Elwoods and Local Heroes.

"This is an excellent opportunity to come together as a community and showcase the treasure that is Stratford’s Short Beach Park," said Harkins. "I encourage everyone to join me at the beach on Saturday, July 30, for an event which has become an annual tradition.”

Short Beach Park is located at 1 Dorne Drive.
