Dollar Flicks at Regal Cinemas 14

Every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. for the next six weeks of summer, Regal Cinemas (411 Barnum Avenue Cutoff) will be playing G and PG films for $1 admission. Playing today are "Tales of Despereaux" (rated G) and "Planet 51" (rated PG).

Stratford Native Joey Homza Debuts Album

"More Famous Than You," the first album of Joey Ruckus - i.e., Stratford native Joey Homza - debuts today. Homza made a ruckus when he was kicked out of an American Idol audition line in 2009. He now produces music in New York City. Check back later this week for his full story.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy's Job Tour takes him to New Britain Police Headquarters (11 a.m.) and the Connecticut Air National Guard Base (3 p.m.) in East Granby today. The governor's tour stopped at Mystic Aquarium and Mystic Seaport yesterday. to read about that visit.

Poker and Bocce at Baldwin Center

Ladies bocce starts at 9 a.m. and men's poker kicks off at 12:30 p.m. today at Stratford's Senior Center, which is located at 1000 West Broad St.

Garbage Museum Nears Judgment

Tomorrow it will be decided whether or not Stratford's 16-year-old museum will be closing. Museum supporters hope 68,000 is the magic number. Read why by clicking here.
