Temple Hanukkah Party and Staged Reading

Temple Beth Sholom will celebrate Hanukkah with a luncheon and play on Monday, Dec. 26 starting at noon in the Kava Café of Temple Beth Sholom, 275 Huntington Road in Stratford, near Paradise Green.

The party, which offers a traditional latke lunch with a sundae dessert, includes the premiere staged reading of "A Dickens of a Hanukkah," a new play by Temple Players' Artistic Director Mark Lambeck of Stratford.

Loosely based on a Charles Dickens holiday classic, the play stars Stratford residents: Harriet Blumberg, Bethany de Gant, Melissa de Gant, JeriAnn Geller, Debbie Gilbert Taylor, Laurie Raccuia, Benji Ruscoe and Andy Strassmann. Directed by Lambeck, the show features songs with original lyrics by Raccuia and musical direction by Jayne de Gant.
