Today: Stratford Holiday Event To Light Up Downtown

Join us this year when we light up Stratford Downtown to inaugurate Stratford's 2011 Holiday Season on Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Festivities will start at 4:30 p.m. with a Hans Christian Andersen Holiday Puppet Show at the . Stratford Main Street will be closed from East Broadway to Linden Ave at 5:30 p.m.

At 6 p.m., welcome Santa Claus and help Stratford light Main Street and a traditional Christmas tree in Stratford Center. Join Choir and Stratford High School Band with seasonal songs on the steps of Milford Bank followed by a more modern Seasonal presentation by the and then tradition carols by the Connecticut Yuletide Carolers.

There will be hot chocolate in the alley, photos with Santa and downtown merchants will provide special seasonal discounts for one and all.

One week later join us at on Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. for a tree lighting and a Stratford-style Christmas celebration featuring the Choir and Bunnell High School Band.
