The Friends of Square One Theater are happy to announce a presentation of "Tom Sawyer" at Chapel Street Elementary School on Friday, March 1.
Thirteen students will be reading the roles in the production before the whole school population. Afterwards students will return to the classroom for a meaningful discussion of the play, which presents issues of tolerance and bullying. The discussion will be led by teachers and Friends of Square One Theater members.
This is the second production of "Tom Sawyer" that Friends of Square One Theater has sponsored. The first took part in the fall at the Johnson House School. A third production will occur in the spring at St. Mark School.
