Snow to Accumulate Tuesday in Stratford

Roads could become slick come Tuesday afternoon.

A forecast now calling for three to five inches of snow prompted school officials this morning to close school Tuesday, Dec. 10.

Stratford is under a Winter Weather Advisory until 5 p.m.

The National Weather Service (NWS) says snow will begin to taper off around 3 p.m.

The expected low for tonight is around 18 degrees.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting one to three inches of snow to fall in Stratford Tuesday morning into early afternoon.

Forecasters peg the chance for precipitation at 80 percent. The low for Tuesday is around 30 degrees.

Temperatures are expected to drop to the low 20s Tuesday night.

After Tuesday, the NWS forecasts sunny days until Saturday, when rain and snow is "likely" with the chance for precipitation at 60 percent.
