Flash Flooding Possible in Stratford Friday, Saturday
Heaviest rain expected Friday afternoon through early Saturday.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a minimum of 3 to 5 inches of rain to fall in Stratford over the next couple days.
A flash flood watch is in effect from Friday morning through Saturday afternoon, as of 10:30 p.m. Thursday.
The heaviest rain is expected Friday afternoon through early Saturday, the service warns. Maximum hourly rates could reach between 1 and 2 inches.
Urban and poor drainage areas will be particularly vulnerable to flash flooding, according to the service.
