Basil the therapy dog is becoming a local celebrity in Stratford.

Basil, an American Pit Bull Terrier, can be seen around town with his owner Brad Moroni greeting people.

During their morning walk, Basil and Moroni make a point to stop outside of Dunkin' Donuts on Main Street with a sign that says, "Basil- Pet Therapist, Please Pet Me," according to wtnh.com.

Moroni brings Basil to health care facilities and the local VA to meet people that need some cheering up, according to wtnh.com.

I personally know Basil and Brad, and they are both great. Basil is a sweet and obedient dog who wouldn't hurt a fly. Too bad Lord Chamberlain is too stuck up to accept his services.
