The Watermark at 3030 Park to Host Presentation on Upcoming Greater Bridgeport Symphony Orchestra Concert Series

On Friday, July 19, The Watermark at 3030 Park will host a presentation on the Greater Bridgeport Symphony (GBS), and its upcoming concert series, featuring guest speaker John Polo, Board Trustee for GBS. The event will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the retirement community, located at 3030 Park Avenue on the Bridgeport/Fairfield town line.

For his presentation, Polo will discuss the history of the Greater Bridgeport Symphony, its upcoming concert series, and its current search for a Principal Conductor. He will provide details on how the Symphony is working to select conductor finalists, and how the public can ultimately get involved in helping them make a final decision. The program will include a live performance by a guest artist and multi-media presentation of the recent celebration of Maestro Gustav Meier’s 41 seasons with the GBS.

“The Watermark at 3030 Park has a close connection with the GBS, as one of our residents, Sonya Schopick, is a founder, and remains an Honorary Board Member,” said Tracy-Ann Samuel, Community Life Director at The Watermark. “Many of our residents and guests are loyal subscribers to GBS and we hope this presentation will help strengthen and grow the relationship between them and the Symphony.
