Stratfords of the World Reunion 2014 coming July 31-August 5, 2014

Coinciding with the 375th Anniversary of the founding of Stratford, CT, an estimated 100 guests who reside in other international Stratfords will be the guests of community families eager to share friendship with visitors from our Sister Cities.

Founded nearly 30 years ago, the Stratford Sister Cities program fosters good will and friendship with people living in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, Stratford Prince Edward Island, Canada, Stratford-upon-Avon, England, Stratford, New Zealand, and Stratford, Australia and of course, Stratford, CT, USA.

Every two years, one of the Sister Cities hosts a reunion in which visitors from the other Stratfords gather. This year, an estimated 100 international guests are expected to enjoy our rich Colonial history, beaches, and local attractions from forest to shore. An itinerary of events can be found on the reunion website: stratfordsoftheworld.org

Over the years, members of our town and the Stratford Sister Cities Chorus have traveled to all of the Stratfords to attend reunions, renew and solidify friendships made this program. The last time our town hosted this reunion was in 1995 under the leadership of Hugh and Mary Lou Catalano.

Members of our community can get in on this nearly week long festival of friendship by hosting a guest from a visiting Sister City, offering only bed and breakfast. Activities planned by the committee organizing the Reunion 2014 will keep the guests entertained and fed during their visit.
