Stratford Artist David Mel at Bridgeport's BC2 Extravaganza

Bridgeport native & current Stratford resident artist DAVID MEL has been exhibiting & selling his artwork going on ten years now local & statewide. He is a regular at events like Bridgeport Arts Fest, City-Wide Open Studios in New Haven & Art For Aids in Hartford.

He will be bringing his bold style & pop art sensibilities to Read's Artspace on Friday March 21st as part of the 2nd installment in the BEAUTIFUL CRIME art exhibition series. Read's has a ground floor gallery that is massive & will be "bombed" with STREET ART, GRAFFITI ART & POP ART from local & national artists.

DAVID's main pieces are meticulous pop art mandalas that display his experience as a mechanical draftsman.  The skills he learned using board techniques at local companies like MOORE SPECIAL TOOL, NASH ENGINEERING & NORWALK COMPANY are translated into colorful explosions of paint.

BEAUTIFUL CRIME 2 starts @ 5pm on Friday night. Read's ARTSPACE is located at 1042 Broad Street.
