Interfaith Prayer Service ■ March ■ Riverfront Festival

HARTFORD
Riverfront Earth Day is an annual festival co-produced by the Interreligious Eco-Justice Network and the Office for Catholic Social Justice Ministry of the Archdiocese of Hartford have organized what promises to be the state's largest Earth Day celebration, attracting people from across Connecticut.
12:45pm Interfaith prayer service, followed by a march to the Riverfront
Charter Oak Cultural Center (21 Charter Oak Avenue, Hartford)
1pm – 5pm Speakers, musicians, dancers, vendors and activities for kids
Riverfront Mortensen Plaza, overlooking the Connecticut River
(300 Columbus Blvd, Hartford)
Speakers: Rev. Matt Laney (Senior Pastor, Asylum Hill Congregational Church)
Councilwoman Cynthia Jennings (Hartford City Council)
Bishop Tyrone Black (Pastor and Presiding Prelate, Ebenezer Holy Temple)
Master of Ceremonies - Rev. Tom Carr is Senior Pastor, Second Baptist Church of Suffield and Co-founder of the Interreligious Eco-Justice Network. Rev. Carr has been named the 2014 Steward of God's Creation Award recipient, an honor previously awarded to activist/author Bill McKibben, poet Wendell Berry and EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson.
Mainstage Performers include: Hartford Steel Symphony, Hannah and Maggie,
Sonia Plumb Dance Company, Western Lands Trio, and The Meadows Bros.
Children’s stage will include music, magic and storytelling!
