Fundraising 5k hikes through Lordship

On Sunday, January 5th, 17 people local people as well as people from Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York walked a 5k through the cold and ice to benefit Operation Enduring Warrior. 

Operation Enduring Warrior is a non-profit organization whose mission is to honor, empower, and motivate America’s wounded military service members.

The group carried backpacks with bricks, wore weighted vests,  and carried weighted items, and proudly carried the American flag throughout the streets of Lordship.  The total weight carried was well over 1, 000 pounds.  Carrying weighted items signifies the burdens that our warriors have to carry with them every day of their lives.
