This Wednesday, The Lord's Kitchen, the bi-weekly meal program sponsored by the Stratford Clergy Association and held at the Parish Hall of Christ Episcopal Church, 2000 Main Street, will hold a special Thanksgiving meal for its guests.
The meal is 5 to 6 p.m.
At 6 p.m, Senator Richard Blumenthal will join us to greet the guests and deliver greetings and proclamations in regard to Thanksgiving and in recognition of the Clergy Association.
Immediately following the meal and presentations, all will be invited to join in the church and take part in a brief, 30-minute prayer service.
Members of the Clergy Association will lead the service, and special music will be provided. Betty McCready, local singer/actor and member of the United Methodist Church, will sing "All Good Gifts" from Godspell, and a combined choir will sing a special Thanksgiving song.
The Lord's Kitchen provides a free hot meal to those who desire it each Monday and Wednesday, 5 to 6 p.m. Plans are being made for a Christmas event on Dec. 24.
