Aquarion Water Company has announced the hiring of Peter Fazekas as Public Relations Manager. Fazekas will assist Corporate Communications with internal and external communications, government relations, and Aquarion’s online presence. He will report to Bruce Silverstone, Vice President of Corporate Communications for Aquarion.
“In addition to Peter’s communications experience and strong local knowledge of Connecticut media, he also shares Aquarion’s passion for community service, and is involved with a number of community organizations including Junior Achievement of Western Connecticut’s Bridgeport Community Board and the Bridgeport Regional Business Council. He’s a terrific fit for this position and we welcome him to the Aquarion team.”
Prior to joining Aquarion, Fazekas served as Vice President for Silverstone, Adkins & Breit, Inc., a Stratford-based marketing communications firm that served the global communications needs of Fortune 500 companies, including Terex, Praxair, Kraft Foods, United Technologies and General Electric. While at the company, Fazekas developed strategic communications plans and directed internet, intranet and print projects.
Fazekas earned a B.A. in economics from the University of Connecticut and M.B.A. from Bentley University. He lives in Stratford with his wife Jennifer and three children.
