Fun and Easy 4th of July Treats

Last minute patriotic ideas for your 4th of July parties.

Well, I can't believe it's July already, and we're only days away from celebrating the 4th of July. With this nice weather it's the perfect time for picnics and BBQs.

If you're throwing a party or looking for something to bring to one I've found some simple and creative recipes that anybody can make! I'm not a crafty person, and usually end up doing things last minute.

So I found these recipes via Pinterest that are quick and easy!

The first one is chocolate-covered pretzel sticks. These are a fun snack at any party and are really easy to make.

You will need:

  • A bag of pretzel rods
  • About 16 ounces of chocolate or caramel (your choice)
  • Patriotic sprinkles

Now all you have to do is melt the chocolate or caramel, and then dip the end of the pretzel rod in and then once again dip into the sprinkles and then let them dry.

You now have a sweet and salty, patriotic treat for your party!

The second treat I found was an American Flag shaped fruit and cheese display.

You will need:

  • Fresh strawberries
  • Cut watermelon
  • White cheese cubes, (your choice)
  • Rectangular shaped plate

All you have to do for this fun flag shaped snack tray is arrange the blueberries in the top left corner for your stars and then line the watermelon and cheese in lines as your stripes. To keep the blueberries neater, you can place them in a bowl on top of the tray.

The third is really easy. Patriotic Strawberries.

You will need:

  • Fresh strawberries
  • White chocolate for melting
  • Blue sugar

For this recipe all you need to do is melt white chocolate and dip the strawberry halfway and then dip the tips of the strawberry in blue sugar.

And voila! You have made some fun, patriotic treats for the 4th of July with little effort and minimal cost. Now have fun at your parties and cookouts and if you get a chance check out .
