On Saturday March 10 from 11:00am-4:00pm STARS will be hosting a Pet Adoption Event & Animal Food Drive at the Stratford Animal Control Facility, 225 Beacon Point Road. The food drive will benefit homeless animals impounded at the Stratford Animal Control Facility and the Sterling House Paws Program. This invaluable program distributes pet food to individuals and families in need enabling them to keep their pets during these tough economic times. STARS will be accepting pet food, treats, cat litter and gift cards. In addition items such pet gear, funny magnets, candles and t-shirts will be available for purchase at STARS Boutique. More About Stratford Animal Shelter
Located at 225 Beacon Point Road
Stratford Animal Control is operated by Stratford Animal Control officers and S.T.A.R.S. (Stratford Animal Rescue Society) volunteers. As a division of the Stratford Police Department, the shelter is involved with animal-related investigations and law enforcement. Inside, the facility houses stray animals. The animals receive veterinary services and behavioral training before being adopted into qualified, permanent homes.
